Job Description:

The job requirement is within YKK AP’s, Market Development Team of International Department, and the subsidiary branch located at Bangalore to establish a new business in South India. YKK AP is a leader in Architectural Products Manufacturing industry and has customers across the globe.

  • The following are some of the tasks required in the initial stage:

    1. Price analysis (Pricing of local products: cost of profiles, accessories, fabrication, transportation, installation, glass, markup, etc.)

    2. Set necessary standards for products (which characteristics are necessary, not necessary, etc.)

    3. Construction market (Volume/size of market)

    4. Possible business models (Channels)

    5. Input for product development

    6. Participating and managing entire tender life-cycle

  • Plays a key role in developing new customers to meet key firms in the Architectural Industry, such as developers, architects, and owners and so on, by making full use of highly oriented communication capability. Key focus will be on development of our business model in India.
  • Will also be responsible for aggressively increasing YKK AP’s brand perception in concerned geographical area.
  • Having highly oriented presentation skills to do the required tasks.
  • Having intermediate technical & engineering knowledge, such as to understand architectural drawings, to understand intermediate level design & specification requirements, and to perform standard operations such as estimation, order processing, and project management etc.
  • The individual must be able to work well with little supervision, or rather to say, shall have capability to lead the organization as a top management in the newly established organization.
  • Having excellent knowledge of the industry and to be able to recruit additional sales, marketing, design, and operation staffs as necessary
  • An enthusiasm for implementing new ideas and executing sales planning is also required.

Basic Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / MBA/ Marketing Specialization
  • Minimum 10 plus years’ experience in an Aluminium Facades AND/OR in aluminium Architectural Products or related industry.
  • At least 5 years in managerial cadre in marketing discipline
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure / strong problem solving skills
  • Candidate should be good in written and verbal English communication to be able to interact & coordinate with internal & external teams
  • Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office.

Job Description:

  • Looking after Production planning and control of Die shop.
  • To improve Productivity levels in production and die shop activities.
  • New enquiries feasibility study and advice marketing team technically.
  • To reduce the die failure ratio, costs in die shop consumables and increase profits to the organization by increasing the life of dies.
  • Strict control on timings of purchase of Back up dies.
  • Coordinating with marketing to make delivery schedules in time.
  • Balancing the orders to all presses by guiding the feasibilities for planning and production as to production should not affect and reduce idle time.
  • Targeting machine utilization at maximum level considering product mix of profiles dies allocation planning to be done.
  • Working with die manufacturers to improve:
  • Success rate in first trials.
  • Consistent Performance and Quality of dies. (Die life & Kg per hour).
  • Must have a positive attitude and be willing to work with other departments in understanding and correcting die problems.
  • Responsible for correcting dies or making decisions on if dies should be returned die maker for correction.
  • Will need to aid in the ordering of dies and backup tools when needed.
  • Responsible to work with die makers on designing and correction of dies.
  • Knowledge of extrusion cell processes, dimensioning and tolerance capabilities.
  • Knowledgeable in blueprint reading, including geometric tolerances.
  • Knowledgeable in setting up dies for extruding process including knowing types of bolsters, backers, and feeder plates for die stock.
  • Knowledgeable for preparation necessary for heating up tooling to extruding temperature.
  • Responsible for all paperwork required for processing orders.
  • Knowledgeable in operating machines, machine hand tools, inspection tools and any equipment in the aid of die maintenance and correcting.

Basic Qualification & Skills:

Job Description:

  • Take care of all the Production activities of PRESS-1,2 & 3
  • Check number of workmen present and arrange for additional manpower, if required
  • Check availability of dies in Die pre heater
  • Plan and prepare Log Cards as per planning sheet by following FIFO
  • Instruct the operator to run the dies as per FIFO planning
  • To check the press program in advance & arrange for tools, gauges etc required for production.
  • Instruct operators to maintain process parameters, productivity, recovery & quality
  • Responsible for running of dies with the required speed to attain maximum productivity.
  • Arrange for transferring the cut billets to Presses
  • Inform tool room through sap transaction if there is any problem in dies
  • Ensure that ROT & finish cutting operator wears face mask & ear plugs while working
  • Ensure that spacers are stored properly after usage and damaged spacers are segregated periodically
  • Plan billet size and/ Extrusion length to achieve maximum output
  • Supervise and guide the inspection crew to stack the material in the racks properly and arrange the empty racks for stacking
  • Re - inspect the material rejected by workmen after inspection before sending it to foundry.
  • Ensure that proper tags are used after inspection in order to maintain material traceability.
  • Responsible for maintaining the discipline of working crew and housekeeping aspects in the shop floor
  • Ensure that chips are removed after table inspection by blowing air
  • Responsible for all SAP activities related to production
  • Take care of colleagues’ responsibilities in their absence
  • Shall report to the Production Head /In charge and carry out any additional tasks as and when instructed
  • Maintain cordial and healthy relationship with all the departments

Basic Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Diploma in Mechanical/ Industrial Production/ ITI
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in extrusion/manufacturing industry
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to monitor the subordinates and get work done
  • Team player with ability to lead the workmen efficiently
  • Self-motivated and willing to work in shifts
  • Sound knowledge of computers, experience in SAP a plus

Job Description:

  • Lead the Tool Room team to achieve the departmental goals and objectives
  • Chalk out and explain the monthly/yearly Goals and Objectives of the department to the subordinates and ensure the targets are achieved
  • Exposure to software like Auto Cad, YCAD, Master CAM.
  • Monitoring of tool manufacturing.

  • Ensure all dies are kept in die library at its designated place
  • Ensure discipline is maintained throughout the department
  • Support marketing representatives for technical discussion with customer on the product/process
  • Ensure effective and efficient man power utilisation in the department
  • Ensure Quality Management System is in place
  • Prepare/guide the team in preparing the Corrective/Preventive Action Report
  • Increase the productivity by implementing the required modifications based on the production requirements
  • Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Motivate the employees of the department to get involved with KAIZEN activities
  • Responsible to arrange safety items for the workmen
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO) and maintain all related documents
  • Maintain the minimum stock of consumables
  • Set tangible goals for subordinates and monitor their progress
  • Coordinate with the HR department in hiring process for every position in the department
  • Identify training needs and carry out Internal (On-the-job) departmental training
  • Coordinate with the HR department for organizing training activities as and when required
  • Authorized to access the SAP PM HOD module for day-to-day activities
  • Shall report to the Factory Manager and carry out any additional tasks as and when instructed
